Anticipated 27,200 Attendees to USCC June Events

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: June 5, 2017
City of Asheville | US Cellular Center

Early June is the season of tourists and high school graduations, and residents can expect heavier than normal traffic in the downtown area over the next two weeks. While the boost in travel will be a significant boon for our many local businesses, commuters should plan ahead for parking, scheduling adequate time to traverse traffic and arrive at their destinations on time.

Graduation attendance is expected to average a total of 18,000 people over three consecutive days starting June 9th. In addition, the US Cellular Center will host four sold out shows in the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium between June 7 and June 17 (event information below). The overall anticipated attendance between the graduations and sold out shows totals 27,200 people over ten days.

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds | Wednesday, June 7 at 8pm | SOLD OUT
Neil deGrasse Tyson | Tuesday, June 13 at 7:30pm | SOLD OUT
John Mulaney: Kid Gorgeous | Wednesday, June 14 at 7pm | SOLD OUT
Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit | Saturday, June 17 at 7pm | SOLD OUT
