**IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to illness and upon the recommendation of her doctors, soprano Angela Brown will not be able to travel this weekend and therefore has to cancel her scheduled appearance with Asheville Symphony. She sends her regrets to the Asheville community and hopes to visit and perform in the near future.

We are pleased to announce that the brilliant violinist Chee-Yun will join the Asheville Symphony for the season-opening concert and will perform some of the most exciting works ever written for violin – Saint-Saens’ Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso, and Satasate’s Zigeunerweisen.  Both are wonderfully melodic and virtuosic “arias” in their own right.
